Our Process
Our comprehensive financial planning starts with helping you understand the why behind planning for your future goals.
How do we help you reach your financial goals?
Our mission is to help each of our clients reach their goals as best we can.
Everyone has a unique story and financial outlook, so planning for the future involves a tailored process specific to you.
We want to understand who you are as a person and what you wish to achieve.
Overview of Our Process
For all Foster Financial Group clients, our multi-step process will take you through a series of discovery and planning meetings with the end deliverable being a customized financial roadmap. We want to provide ample time to get to know each other and for there to be mutual comfort in establishing a long term relationship.
1. Discovery Meeting
Before doing anything, we want to get to know you.
Our discovery meeting is informal and used as a time for us to clarify your goals, concerns and specific financial situation. We’ll use this time to determine if we’d be a good fit for each other.
2. Roadmap & Analysis
After our discovery meeting, we apply what we’ve learned about you to analyze your situation and answer three key questions:
Are you on track to reach your financial goals?
Are there ways we can help you become more efficient with your taxes and give to causes you care about?
How can we help you feel more confident in the effectiveness of your investments?
Next, we'll meet to present an assessment roadmap, which will provide recommendations for your future progress based on current goals and status. You’ll see tangible examples of how Foster Financial Group could help your financial outlook.
We’ll ensure to answer all of your questions and encourage you to take time to review our findings before making any decisions on moving forward.
3. Think About It
We’re not interested in short-term relationships. We want you to feel comfortable in your decision to partner with us.
We strongly urge all of our clients to to take time to think about partnering with us.
Prior to deciding whether we should work together, here are a few things to consider:
Do I trust and respect my team of financial professionals, and is that feeling mutual?
Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost? (In other words, will I get my money’s worth?)
Do I fully understand their investment philosophy?
Do I agree with their recommendations and do they make sense to me?
4. Mutual Commitment
We want to be on the same page before we move forward. Once mutual commitment is established, we’ll take action on our recommended next steps and request additional information to get started.
We’ll take time to answer any lingering questions you may have, engage in a deeper goal setting exercise, review what you can expect from us as your financial professional, and outline the logistical next steps of working together.
5. Onboarding
After we’re aligned on goals and next steps, our team will launch into action to complete the action steps needed to meet immediate goals. We’ll provide resources on how to measure your account performance, provide access to online portals, and officially welcome you into the Foster Financial Group family.
6. Ongoing Monitoring & Refinement
As your life and needs change, we’ll meet with you periodically to review account performance, celebrate milestones, and set new goals.
